Client Spotlight Interview: Deep Cleaning Solutions

Meet Deep Clean Solutions, our client who has mastered the art of deep cleaning restrooms, ceilings (including kitchen ceiling), tile, and grout. We are grateful for the work that founder Chris Wisbar does to make the places we visit immaculate. We just wish that all public restrooms and kitchens used him.

Tell us more about your business:

I started my business in 2004 as a niche cleaning company doing restroom deep cleaning. Having a young son, I always felt anxious about taking him into a public restroom. This was a perfect answer to fix that situation, at least for my customers' locations. But at least I knew where to go!

What is your biggest challenge?

Initially, my biggest challenge was understanding the books. Luckily, my wife is a CPA, and she did the books for me but not on a timely basis. She already had a job! So, when I could afford it, I outsourced it to a bookkeeper (not BudgetEase). At the end of the year, my wife would review the books and there was always something wrong. I needed my books to meet my wife’s standards.

What led you to BudgetEase?

Two things:

• I had a new business software that does all my scheduling, invoicing, etc. and it syncs with QuickBooks. The previous company couldn’t answer the questions I had about QuickBooks and recommended I get someone certified in QuickBooks to help. So, my search ended with BudgetEase.
• I saw this as a great way to transition to someone who was good at keeping my books. So far, I’ve been very happy. I’m expecting this December to be way less stressful when my wife reviews the books.

Why do you find having someone else do your bookkeeping helpful?

My degree is in Mechanical Engineering. I really love being in business, but I don’t want to learn how to do accounting. I live by “Do what you do best and hire out the rest”. I already learned what it takes to market this business, which took a great deal of effort over the years. Now that too has been outsourced. Life is too short for me to be dealing with debits and credits after dinner time.
