Since 2012 they have worked with real estate developers, building owners, architects, contractors, and engineers to provide clean building consulting in Cleveland, the U.S., and now internationally. 

Tell us more about your business:

Emerald Built Environments guides teams to a sustainable future. We create strategies and support teams in transforming the design, construction, and operations of buildings, neighborhoods, and developed land to sustain people, the economy, and the planet.

What is your biggest challenge?

Emerald’s biggest challenge is overcoming perceived costs to achieve sustainable results, with a focus on first costs only. A sustainable future requires an understanding of the long game and the connection between people, profit, and the environment.

What led you to BudgetEase?

We needed a firm to help us with the migration to QuickBooks Online and to take our financial reporting to the next level.

Why do you find having someone else do your bookkeeping helpful?

Emerald Built Environments is focused on growing the business, and we recognize that as we grow, we get more opportunities to delegate and elevate others. However, Bookkeeping is the first thing I gave up so we can focus on client service. Now, we rely on BudgetEase to help us think about our numbers and to set targets that support the businesses’ financial health.
