We’re pleased to introduce Peter Reuter, owner of Scorpacciata Pasta, LLC, and a BudgetEase client since January 2020. If you’re looking for authentic, handmade pasta or pizza, Scorpacciata is the place to go. Their meals are a frequent topic in our office. With their attention to detail and commitment to quality, they’ve recently opened a full-service restaurant at 13051 Larchmere in Shaker Heights, in early July of this year. Be sure to visit!
Tell Me More About Your Business.
Scorpacciata Pasta, LLC is a small, independently-owned restaurant founded by Peter Reuter, a Johnson & Wales culinary school graduate. Peter first launched Scorpacciata Pasta Co. in the Market Hall at Van Aken District in 2018. A few years later, he added a second stall, Scorpacciata Pizza. Both ventures flourished until late last year, when Peter decided to close them to focus on building his new brick-and-mortar restaurant on Larchmere.
What is your biggest challenge?
alancing the pursuit of business goals and growth with day-to-day operations can be challenging. Additionally, finding personal time while managing a business is an ongoing struggle.
What Lead you to BudgetEase?
athy Dise (Founder of BudgetEase) and her family were long-time neighbors of my grandparents, so we've known each other for years. Initially, I handled all the bookkeeping myself to learn every aspect of my business. However, as running the business became a full-time job, I no longer had the time to manage everything on my own. That's when Katie Van Dyke from the SBA recommended BudgetEase to me.
Why Do You Find Having Someone Else Do Your Bookkeeping Helpful?
Everything! I value having an expert review our books and quickly pinpoint any issues. I also appreciate the accuracy and clarity of the financial reports, which are presented in an easy-to-understand format. Plus, we love that BudgetEase is a local company that has supported our growth vision over the years. With their support we have now achieved the goal of opening a brick-and-mortar location in Shaker Heights.
